Every single one of these yorkies were considered seniors when they arrived to us. Florida Yorkie Rescue took in every one, paid for their medical care in full and found them new loving and devoted owners.  Some were found as strays (or dumped in the streets) and others were surrendered by their owners. After years as a faithful and loyal pet, for them to find themselves discarded in a shleter is beyond comprehensible to us. Each of these precious ones deserved a better place to rest during their final years. Most of these dogs do not get out of animal shelters alive. They are usually not offered to the public for adoption and many Rescue Groups are beyond full and have to choose between taking the young healthy adoptable ones or the seniors.  Many of these dogs have health issues that need to be addressed as well. We simply cannot idly sit by and watch this travesty continue year after year. This is where the idea of YORKIE HOUSE OF HEARTS came from. Please help us help save them.
